The Endower (Waqif or Waqifa)

When one makes the righteous decision to making a waqf sadaqa, there is waqf sunnah and conditions that need to be met. There are four primary components to any waqf endowment, these are:

  • The founder
  • The waqf beneficiaries
  • It is very important that the endower understands that an endowment is
  • The Trustee or the management (Nazzar or Mutawalli)
  • The endowed capital, also known as the corpus
